Manage catalogs
To start running Rokt Catalog Ads you need a product catalog. After creating a catalog you can add or update products, organize your catalog into product sets, change where products come from, and delete catalogs you no longer use.

- In the Catalog Manager, select New data source.
- Name your catalog.
- Choose your currency. A feed carries one currency, so if you sell in several, add a source per currency.
- Set up your product source. See the requirements for each.
- Select Create catalog, then check the run history to confirm your products were added.
A catalog can have more than one source. Retailers often split a catalog by market or by category, and one feed per currency makes several sources the norm rather than the exception.

Choose the method that matches how your product data already moves.
| Source | Use it when | Updates |
|---|---|---|
| File upload | You want to launch or test without hosting anything. Upload a CSV directly. | When you upload a new file |
| Scheduled fetch | You already host a feed file for another channel. Give Rokt the URL and, where the file is protected, the credentials to reach it. | Daily |
| Catalog API | Push product data from your own systems. Send products in batches under a Rokt-issued credential. | Real time |
| Shopify | Connect your store via the Rokt Catalog for Brands sales channel app. Rokt imports your catalog, then keeps it current as products change. | Real time |

- Manually select products. Use this when the grouping is a merchandising decision, such as a named collection or a set of hero products.
- Define a rule. The set stays current as your feed changes, so an "on sale" or "in stock over $50" set never goes stale.

Rules can filter on fields in your feed including brand, product type, category, price, sale price, availability, stock level, custom labels, custom numbers, size, gender, and other fields in your feed, as well as whether an item is discounted.
The available comparisons are is greater than, is greater than or equal to, is less than, is less than or equal to, equals, does not equal, is any of, is all of, and is not any of. Price comparisons are exact to the cent. Use the custom number fields where you need a range filter that text labels cannot express.
Common sets worth building first: a category set to push a collection, a promotion set filtered on discounted items, and an in-stock set so sold-out products never serve.

Your ads update automatically when your catalog updates. On a connected Shopify store, changes reach Rokt as they happen. On a scheduled fetch, your catalog updates when the feed is next collected. Use Fetch now if you have just fixed something and do not want to wait for the next run.
Delete a catalogDirect link to Delete a catalog
Deleting a catalog stops every campaign serving from it. This cannot be undone.
- In the Catalog Manager, choose your catalog.
- Open the Settings tab and select Delete catalog.
- Confirm you want to delete it.
