Getting startedLien direct vers Getting started
What do I need to get started with Catalog ads?Lien direct vers What do I need to get started with Catalog ads?
You need the Rokt Catalog for Brands app installed, the Rokt Network Extension app on your Shopify store, the Rokt Pixel installed, a payment method on file, and a campaign created. For Shoppable Ads, you also need a linked Stripe account. Your Rokt representative can help with setup or reach out to roktcatalogsupport@rokt.com.
Is there a setup fee or upfront cost?Lien direct vers Is there a setup fee or upfront cost?
No. There is no setup fee and no upfront cost. You set your campaign's daily budget, and Rokt charges your ad spend weekly. See How billing works for Catalog Ads.
How quickly can I launch?Lien direct vers How quickly can I launch?
Shopify brands can complete setup in under 30 minutes. Since Catalog Ads uses your existing product catalog, there is no additional engineering work required.
Can I run Shoppable Ads and Rokt Network Ads at the same time?Lien direct vers Can I run Shoppable Ads and Rokt Network Ads at the same time?
Yes. You can run both, or either one on its own.
Can I run Rokt Network Ads without setting up shoppable?Lien direct vers Can I run Rokt Network Ads without setting up shoppable?
Yes. Rokt Network Ads only requires the Rokt Network Extension app, the Rokt Pixel, and a billing method. Shoppable requires the additional Stripe account link. Running both is recommended, but there is no dependency between them.
Billing and paymentLien direct vers Billing and payment
How am I charged?Lien direct vers How am I charged?
Rokt Network Ads are billed per click (CPC), and Rokt charges your click spend weekly. For how each ad type is billed, see How billing works for Catalog Ads.
When do I get billed?Lien direct vers When do I get billed?
Weekly, every Monday, via Catalog for Brands.
What payment methods are accepted?Lien direct vers What payment methods are accepted?
Bank account (0.4% fee) or credit card (2.9% fee). A payment method on file is required before any campaign goes live.
How does billing differ between Rokt Network Ads and Shoppable ads?Lien direct vers How does billing differ between Rokt Network Ads and Shoppable ads?
The flow of funds differs. For Rokt Network Ads, the customer checks out on your site, and Rokt charges your click spend weekly. For Shoppable Ads, Rokt facilitates checkout on-network, 100% of the purchase price settles to your linked Stripe account at time of sale, and ad spend is billed separately.
What if my campaign isn't converting?Lien direct vers What if my campaign isn't converting?
Rokt Network Ads are still charged per click, whether or not the click converts. See How billing works for Catalog Ads.
Who handles returns and refunds?Lien direct vers Who handles returns and refunds?
Brands do, always. For Shoppable Ads, you are the Merchant of Record, so you handle refunds through your standard customer service channels. Your brand's name appears on the credit card statement, and the customer receives a confirmation email directly from you. Marketing costs for Shoppable Ads are non-refundable unless a technical failure has occurred.
Why does my bill show one CATALOG - ADS charge instead of separate ad types?Lien direct vers Why does my bill show one CATALOG - ADS charge instead of separate ad types?
On your Billing page, Shoppable Ads and Rokt Network Ads are combined into a single CATALOG - ADS row per charge date for a simpler summary view. Download the CSV from the row to see the breakdown by ad type and day-by-day activity. See Understanding your Catalog Ads billing statement and CSV.
Does running Catalog Ads change what I pay on Marketplace orders?Lien direct vers Does running Catalog Ads change what I pay on Marketplace orders?
No. Running Catalog Ads doesn't change your Marketplace fees. The fee for each partnership is shown on its partnership page.
Attribution and trackingLien direct vers Attribution and tracking
What attribution window does Rokt use?Lien direct vers What attribution window does Rokt use?
Rokt Network Ads use a 7-day click window or a 7-day click + 1-day view window. New campaigns you create in Catalog for Brands use 7-day click by default. Shoppable Ads use a 1-day click window, since the conversion happens directly in the placement. See How Catalog Ads attribution works.
How does Rokt attribute sales from Rokt Network Ads?Lien direct vers How does Rokt attribute sales from Rokt Network Ads?
On Shopify, Rokt attributes sales on its servers, from your Shopify orders, not from the Rokt Pixel. With the Rokt Network Extension app installed, Shopify sends Rokt each order. Rokt matches the order to your Rokt ad using the Rokt click ID on the order, or the order's email, phone, or name plus billing ZIP code. It credits the order to your campaign when it falls inside your attribution window. The pixel collects browsing and checkout activity on your site to build your audiences.
How do cookie choices affect attribution?Lien direct vers How do cookie choices affect attribution?
Cookie choices control browser tracking on your site. On Shopify, attribution uses the order details Shopify shares with Rokt, as described in Privacy Details. See How Catalog Ads attribution works.
Does the Rokt Pixel conflict with existing tracking?Lien direct vers Does the Rokt Pixel conflict with existing tracking?
No. It's a lightweight async tag and won't interfere with Google, Meta, or other pixel implementations.
Can Rokt traffic be tracked in Triple whale?Lien direct vers Can Rokt traffic be tracked in Triple whale?
Yes. UTM (Urchin Tracking Module) parameters pass on every referral, so Triple Whale can segment Rokt traffic directly. Triple Whale's attribution model may weight channels differently, so set a UTM filter to isolate and compare. Triple Whale Compass also supports lift studies for validating incrementality.
Can we run an incrementality test?Lien direct vers Can we run an incrementality test?
For lapsed-customer campaigns, our recommended starting point, over-attribution isn't a real concern. A customer who hasn't purchased in 90+ days isn't going to repurchase organically at any meaningful rate. If we reach them and they convert, that's incremental by definition. There's no credit-stealing risk when the baseline is already near zero.
How do I know which orders came from Rokt?Lien direct vers How do I know which orders came from Rokt?
For Rokt Network Ads, attributed orders and performance are reported in your Rokt dashboard. Rokt does not tag these orders in Shopify. For Shoppable Ads, orders are pushed directly into your Shopify system with full customer data.
What if a customer clicks a Rokt Network ad and also sees a Shoppable ad: does that double-count?Lien direct vers What if a customer clicks a Rokt Network ad and also sees a Shoppable ad: does that double-count?
No. Each transaction attributes once: Shoppable conversions attribute at on-network checkout, and Rokt Network Ads conversions attribute from your Shopify order. One customer journey, one attribution event.
Targeting and performanceLien direct vers Targeting and performance
How are my campaigns targeted?Lien direct vers How are my campaigns targeted?
For about the first 3 weeks, campaigns run a learning period that targets your past purchasers only. After the learning period, campaigns can also reach site visitors and cart abandoners (retargeting), and broader audiences across the Rokt Network, refined with suppression lists and lookalike audiences. Campaigns exclude Alaska and Hawaii.
How do suppression lists work?Lien direct vers How do suppression lists work?
Updates are per-order and real-time. Every new order adds the customer email to suppression within seconds.
For new brands, historical email backfill triggers automatically the moment onboarding is complete. If you need a backfill rerun, contact your account team.
Can I control my budget?Lien direct vers Can I control my budget?
Yes. You set a daily budget during campaign setup. Campaigns pause automatically when the budget cap is reached, and you can adjust it at any time. You can also pause and resume your campaign at any time from your campaign list in Catalog for Brands.

Who handles checkout and fulfillment for Shoppable ads?Lien direct vers Who handles checkout and fulfillment for Shoppable ads?
Rokt facilitates the payment processing on your behalf and pushes the order directly into your system. You remain the Merchant of Record and are responsible for fulfillment: picking, packing, and shipping the order.
Is my inventory synced?Lien direct vers Is my inventory synced?
Yes. Real-time feed integration removes out-of-stock items automatically. Rokt recommends selecting items with high stock levels for Shoppable campaigns.
Do I get access to customer data from Shoppable Ads purchases?Lien direct vers Do I get access to customer data from Shoppable Ads purchases?
Yes. Unlike a traditional marketplace, you keep full access to the customer's data, including email and shipping address. This allows you to enter them into your own CRM and marketing flows.
Do I have to use a retailer's return policies, or can I use my own?Lien direct vers Do I have to use a retailer's return policies, or can I use my own?
You use your own. Because you are the Merchant of Record, all purchases are subject to your specific brand policies. Rokt collects your Terms of Service during onboarding and surfaces them directly to the customer before purchase.
How are taxes handled?Lien direct vers How are taxes handled?
Currently, all Shoppable Ads transactions are limited to domestic buyers within the United States. Rokt surfaces estimated taxes directly near the checkout button so the customer sees the total cost before purchasing.
Can I sell bundles through Shoppable ads?Lien direct vers Can I sell bundles through Shoppable ads?
Yes, but only single-SKU bundles are currently supported. To sell a bundle, create a single bundled SKU in Shopify directly or use the Shopify Bundles app to generate one.
Multi-SKU bundles (where each item is a separate SKU in the cart) are not supported at this time. For more detail, see Selling Bundles using Rokt Catalog.
