Brand Integration Guide
This guide is for developers at enterprise Brands integrating with Rokt Catalog for Brands to power Shoppable Ads. It covers everything you need to go from a provisioned Rokt account to a live integration: catalog ingestion, order management (including tax and shipping), order fulfillment, and payouts.

This guide is written for developers at enterprise Brands integrating their Catalog via API. If your Brand is on Shopify, see the Rokt Catalog Shopify App instead. It handles catalog sync, orders, and payouts without custom API work. There are also app integrations for WooCommerce and Salesforce Commerce Cloud that offer end-to-end integration.

Brands in the Rokt Catalog offer products within Shoppable Ads placements. As a Brand, you are the Merchant of Record (MoR) on every transaction: you own the charge, the customer relationship, and fulfillment.
Rokt handles offer presentation, payment processing orchestration, and customer data collection. Your primary responsibilities are product configuration, order fulfillment, and Brand onboarding.
As the supplier Brand, you are responsible for:
- Maintaining an accurate, up-to-date product catalog in Rokt
- Providing real-time shipping rates and tax amounts when orders are being placed
- Fulfilling and shipping orders to the end customer
- Handling returns and customer service for your products

Before you begin API integration, ensure the following are in place:

| Stripe Connect onboarding | Payouts from Rokt to your Brand are processed via Stripe Connect. You must complete Stripe Connect onboarding, including linking a bank account, before going live. See Payouts. |
| Tax and shipping endpoints | Rokt calls your API to retrieve tax (required) and shipping (optional) rates at order placement time. These endpoints must be implemented and reachable before you can accept live orders. See Order Management. |

For Shoppable Ads, Rokt uses a card forwarding model via Stripe Connect. Rokt securely collects payment credentials and forwards them to your payment stack for processing. This ensures you receive funds directly and your Brand name appears on the customer's credit card statement.
Because you are the MoR, completing Stripe Connect onboarding is a strict prerequisite for going live. A linked bank account must be verified before any ads can be served, as this connection is what enables the secure transfer of payment data for processing.

Stripe Connect onboarding is initiated through the Rokt Catalog app during your account setup. You need the following:
- Business details: Legal business name, business type (LLC, corporation, etc.), and registered address
- Tax identification: EIN (Employer Identification Number) or equivalent
- Bank account: Routing number and account number for the account where payouts are deposited
- Representative information: Legal name, date of birth, and last 4 digits of SSN for the individual completing verification (required by Stripe for KYC compliance)

Complete the following steps in order to go live:
- Obtain API credentials from your Rokt Catalog account (App ID + API Token)
- Implement your Tax API endpoint and share the URL with Rokt
- (Optional) Implement your Shipping Rate API endpoint and share the URL with Rokt
- Ingest your product catalog
- Register the order/create webhook to receive incoming orders
- Implement order acknowledgment and fulfillment update flows
- Complete Stripe Connect onboarding and link a bank account
- Test end-to-end using your test environment
- Go live
