Campaign policy overview

Rokt Ecommerce clients will be able to suggest relevant products & services and increase customer lifetime value through a number of Rokt Ecommerce campaigns. Through these campaigns, partners can recommend tailored upsells & cross-sells to your customers, run campaigns that increase app downloads, generate newsletter signups, gather user feedback, and more.

The key to the healthy functioning of Rokt’s marketplace is ensuring positive customer experience and gaining customer trust. As such, all campaigns must adhere to our campaign policies. These policies explain what Rokt considers when evaluating content prior to publication.

To comply with Rokt’s campaign policies, advertisers must adhere to requirements across the following seven key areas:

What content does this policy apply to?

The policy covers:

  • Campaign creative: CTA (Call-to-Action) copy, imagery & logos, disclaimer copy, coupons
  • Email creatives: creative copy, CTA (Call-to-Action) copy, coupons
  • Destination source: site or landing pages linked to Rokt Ecommerce campaigns, application listings

Campaign content and communication that partners wish to show to customers, such as creatives, CTA (Call-to-Action) copy, imagery & logos, disclaimer copy, coupons, email confirmation & reminder email, sms confirmation, app downloads, and landing pages that are linked to Rokt campaigns are also covered in this policy.

note

These policies are only a guide and Rokt reserves the right to exclude content for any reason.

How are campaign creatives rendered?

See the image below for a few examples of how your campaign might appear.

Campaign Creatives Rendering

note

Campaigns may show within a path of multiple offers, depending on bid price and auction.

If you have any questions reach out to your Rokt account manager or email support@rokt.com.

General requirements

When a customer views a campaign on the Rokt marketplace, creatives must include sufficient detail to answer the following questions in order to generate valid consent:

  1. Who am I engaging with (i.e. which partner) ?
  2. What am I being offered – product, service, discount, or offer?
  3. If I engage, is there any ongoing communication that I should expect? Specifically, will I receive emails/sms from either Rokt or the partner upon engaging on the offer. The content/benefit/purpose of the emails must be clear.
  4. If I engage, will I receive a call (phone referral campaign)?
note

The campaign Image or logo is not guaranteed to display, so the above must be clearly communicated in the campaign copy.

For all campaign types, the call to action must always be included in the campaign creative or CTA copy.

The response copy must not be a term that could be confused with broader site navigation commands (e.g., next, continue, proceed, advance). The only permissible negative call to action is “No thanks” and its non-English equivalents (e.g. Nein danke, Non merci, 結構です,etc)

Further details about requirements around consent and future engagement (emails, and sms confirmations) with a customer are set out below.

Adaptive creatives

Rokt Ecommerce campaigns can be presented on the following placement formats: Standard - Embedded & Overlay, Tile, Carousel, and Block. Depending on partner's selected placement format, the creative will will render accordingly (see examples below) and help achieve:

  1. Greater placement eligibility: Rokt partners have access to more campaign inventory.
  2. Greater opportunity to innovate and optimize the presentation of offers: offers flexibility to test new placement designs and unlock new placement opportunities.

Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Disclaimer

To achieve greater offer transparency for customers, advertisers will utilize terms & conditions, privacy policy, and disclaimers. As a general rule:

  1. When used in a campaign:
  2. For competitions, ensure start/end date (timezone), drawing date (timezone), prize amount and other limitations are specified (e.g. You must be an Australian Citizen to enter)
  3. Ensure all hyperlinks are working properly (i.e. no broken links)

The table below provides definitions and guideance on usage of these terms:

For competitions, this is important and should contain start/end date, region where the competition is running, and any limitations (e.g. age).
Privacy PolicyA breakdown of how the advertiser will handle the customers data - usage, storage, transmits and deletion of customer informationUpon opting in, customers are prompted to fill in a form before redeeming an offer.
The same can be said if Rokt is sending customers PII data (Rokt Ecommerce and Strategic Partnerships) to either the advertiser or partner.
DisclaimerProvides further clarity on your product, especially the limitations that come from it, i.e. fine print.Advertisers selling products (e.g. retailers) may want to affirm that you do not take responsibility for the condition of the goods once shipped by the third party.
