Build Catalog Ads with URL parameters

Adding URL parameters to the end of your product URLs helps you understand how your Catalog Ads perform in your own analytics. With parameters you can:

  • Identify the traffic source.
  • See which campaign and ad group sent a visit.
  • Attribute revenue back to a specific ad or creative.

URL parameters work best alongside a third-party analytics tool. Review your setup before publishing.

  1. In the Ads tab of the dashboard, select Create ad.
  2. Choose a catalog ad group.
  3. Choose Catalog as your destination URL source.
  4. Select Add URL parameters and choose how to add them:
    • Parameter builder lets you add dynamic parameter values and create custom parameters with your own keys. Use this when you need flexibility or non-standard parameters.
    • Paste URL reads an existing URL and sets the parameters and keys from it. Use this when your URL already contains the parameters you want.
  5. Test your setup with Preview URL. This opens a sample product URL from your catalog with your parameters applied. Check that keys and values are passed as expected.
  6. Finish setting up the rest of your ad.

Rokt click IDRokt click ID への直接リンク

Rokt adds a unique click ID to your product URLs each time a customer clicks a Catalog Ad. You do not need to add it to your feed or to your URL parameters.

注記

The click ID appears on your landing page URL as the rtid parameter, for example https://example.com/product?rtid=abc123.

What you need to doWhat you need to do への直接リンク

  • Keep the click ID on the URL when the customer lands. If your site redirects, for example from HTTP to HTTPS, to a regional store, or through a link shortener, make sure query parameters carry through.
  • Send it back with the conversion. The Rokt pixel and the Shopify app capture it automatically. If you report conversions through the API, store the click ID when the customer lands and include it with the purchase. See Conversion tracking.
注意

Do not add the click ID to the link column of your feed, and do not remove or rename it in a redirect.

Things to knowThings to know への直接リンク

  • Add a value for every key you create.
  • URL parameters apply to all destination URLs in the ad.
  • You can also add third-party click and impression trackers when you set up the ad.
