Rokt ID

You can use the Rokt ID as an identifier for conversion attribution without using customer email addresses. For each accepted offer, Rokt generates a unique Rokt ID that you can use as a dynamic field in the destination URL (UTM parameter). Your attribution system should maintain the Rokt ID so that you can return it to Rokt when the customer converts. We support Rokt ID as part of the integration for the Rokt Web SDK or Event API.

Enabling the Rokt ID via One Platform

To enable Rokt ID via One Platform, please ensure that the destination URL of your creative includes the following as a URL parameter: rtid={rokt.carbon.conversiontrackingid|}. You can read more about building creatives here


In the Destination URL, you will need to add & or ? before rtid={rokt.carbon.conversiontrackingid|}. This is determined by the original traffic link. If the original traffic link contains a ?, add an & before the rtid.


If the original traffic link does not contain a ?, add a ? before the rtid


Enabling the Rokt ID via an attribution system

To set up the Rokt ID with your attribution system of choice:

  1. Provide Rokt with a destination URL that contains a blank field to populate with the Rokt ID. Most attribution providers support this functionality. Example:{rokt id}. Please note that these URLs differ based on the measurement system in use. Rokt has prebuilt integrations with several measurement system providers.

  2. Maintain the Rokt ID for as long as possible (or until conversion) when a customer opts into your offer. The exact method for storing this ID (first-party cookie, local storage, etc.) depends on the measurement system in use.

When the customer converts, include the Rokt ID as part of the reporting data. The attribute name for the ID should be passbackconversiontrackingid. Your account manager will work with you to provide a different attribute name if necessary.

  • When using the Event API, add this attribute to the body of the API call.
  • When using the Web SDK, send this attribute along with any other attributes that are part of your Rokt integration.
    The Rokt operations team will work with you throughout this process to ensure the flow is set up correctly
