Creative Pause/Resuming
Testing your campaign’s creative is a great way to determine if your brand’s message is resonating with your target audience. Based on how the creative is performing, you may want to pause or activate a creative to focus your campaign on the best performing creatives.
Take the example of an App installs campaign downloading a music playing app. The only difference in the creative is you address the user as a “music fan” in creative A, and a “music lover” in creative B.
Creatives | Engagement Rate |
---|---|
A. Hey music fan! Download this music app now and get your first month of non-stop music free. | 7% |
B. Hey music lover! Download this music app now and get your first month of non-stop music free. | 14% |
Creative B is performing better than creative A for your given audience, so you’ll want to pause creative A and let B run.
Pausing an Active Creative
On the Campaign Overview page, clicking on the campaign that the creative belongs to.
On the Campaign Details page, find the creative you want to pause in the list of active creative. Click the “Pause” icon in the far right hand column of the creative table. The creative will be immediately paused across all audiences that the creative is linked to.
Note that pausing the creative is not the same thing as unlinking a creative from an audience. The paused creative will still be linked to all audiences it was linked to before being paused.
Resuming a Paused Creative
On the Campaign List page, clicking on the campaign that the creative belongs to.
On the Campaign Details page, find the creative you want to resume in the list of paused creative. Click the “Play” button in the far right hand column of the creative table. The creative will be immediately reactivated across all audiences that the creative is linked to.
